So I tried @ciaosamin’s breadcrumbs (originally shared on @nytcooking over the holidays) and the answer is YES. I’m at a point now where I cannot live without them.

I, on the other hand, am a shortcut lover, so what we have on POY today is a lazy version of Samin’s amazing breadcrumbs using two shortcuts: storebought fried onions, and panko breadcrumbs.
Get ready to find yourself sprinkling these magnificent crispies on every single meal from here on out – pasta, soup, salad, chicken and fish, baked pastas, or eaten out of a bowl like cereal.
