Sigmund the High Shield’s Fusion Guide

Hi everyone, this is a quick review on the Sigmund the Highshield Fusion for free-to-play and low spend gamers. It’s always great to save your resources and spend to get guaranteed legendary champions.

These types of legendaries usually have a huge advantage in terms of balancing. Even though they are really bad at the moment, they would become a game-changing champion in the future. This happened a long time ago for almost every Legendary Champion in Fusion.

If you start paying attention to Fusion now, you will eventually add a ton of value to your account in the future. You can get a ton of rewards / champions just by trying to get that guaranteed Fusion Champion killing two birds with one stone.

Sigmund the Highshield Fusion

Cost of the Sigmund the Highshield Fusion event

This event is a combination of the new Fusion Fragment and the old Fusion.

You need to collect 100 shards of the required 4 epic champions, then assemble and rank them up to 5 stars to fuse Sigmund the Highshield!

There are consolation prizes (possibly MAIN PRIZES) available if you choose a particular epic.

Payment wall:

  • Champ Chase T (10 / 01-10 / 04) Thylessia 20, Demytha 25
  • Summon Rush E (10 / 08-10 / 11) Thylessia 25, Demytha 25
  • 10 bonus shards for each epic during a 1st or 2nd place in each tournament

Depending on how they analyze these shards, I’m estimating right now that you will need 3000-5000 shard points to get all the epics.

You score points mainly in terms of Holy (500 pts per shard in Summon Rush) and Mystery shards (1 pt per shard). Voids are much better in Summon Rush but are almost at par in Champ Chase if 2x Event is enabled. Ancient Shards are best in Champ Chase, regardless of the event.

Energy wall:

  • Champion’s Training E (10 / 11-10 / 15) 20 Scarbius, 20 Demytha
  • Dungeon Divers IE (09/30/10/05) 20 Scarbius, 20 Demytha, 20 Duhr
  • Dungeon Divers II E (10 / 06-10 / 10) 20 Thylessia, 25 Duhr
  • Dungeon Divers III E (10/12/10/15) 15 Scarbius, 15 Demytha
  • Improved IE Artifacts (10 / 02-10 / 05) 20 Duhr
  • Artifact Upgrade II E (10 / 07-10 / 10) 20 Scarbius
  • III E Artifact Upgrade (10 / 13-10 / 16) 20 Thylessia
  • Champion Training T (10 / 03-10 / 07) 25 Scarbius, 20 Duhr

Dungeon Divers is the real pain here, as always. Always play when you can play and try to avoid having must play days because real life can be hard to predict. Champion training will take place twice for this merge event. Upgrading artifacts will only use money from all of your dungeons and campaigns.

Progression wall:

  • Spiders T (09/30/10/03) Duhr 20
  • Dragons T (10 / 03-10 / 06) 15 Scarbius
  • Knights of Fire T (10 / 07-10 / 10) 15 Demytha
  • Ice Golem T (10 / 10-10 / 13) 20 Thylessia
  • Aena TI (10 / 01-10 / 04) 15 Thylessia
  • Aena T II (10 / 09-10 / 12) 15 Duhr

You will need to be able to cultivate at least stages 13-16 (11 is more efficient than 13 but drops are worse) to participate even here.

Stage 20 in any dungeon will mean a huge energy rebate and if you are good at using your energy you can escape with just your daily energy gains and even more now with the advanced quests.

Less progression here means more energy per tournament to get your 5 shards. Arena will need a decent win rate in at least the money to go without buying more chips.

Sigmund the High Shield

Sigmund the Highshield Fusion Blueprint

If you get the 25 shards for Thylessia in Summon Rush and complete all other events, you will merge her.

Demytha, on the other hand, you’ll need to participate in both Summon Rush and Champ Chase to get her, as you’ll need at least 30 shards from these events to merge her.

You can skip 20 Duhr Shards and 15 Scarbius Shards and still merge them.

It will be possible to completely skip Dungeon Divers III if you get all of the Demytha Shards in Summon Rush and Champ Chase and I expected this to be the only valuable game you can make this event. You can also skip the artifact enhancement for Duhr.

These are probably riskier games than directly playing every event that comes along and I think for most people it will be just that.

The only mystery playing here is Summon Rush and how they’ll split the shards there.

Fusion Champion Value

Sigmund is a Carry / Control champion who can’t wow people right now, but brings some very special things that might have a place in the game later on.

Opting for Sigmund over Epics is a game for the future and for most of you I would bet Epics are better.

Sigmund’s most unique attribute is his A1 which removes shield buffs and can remove an additional random buff. It pulls out Magic Keep 20 right there and if your runs are slow, Sigmund, at 5 *, will likely speed them up significantly.

Dungeons 20 drastically reduced the value of Ascension Pots, so while that’s mostly what Sigmund will be best for, it’s not really useful. A2 is AoE 2x Hits which can cause 50% chance per hit and Dec Attack 75% chance per hit. Excellent wave control and could be viable in Clan Boss as a December attack.

A3 is a shield and boosts for the team and a 5 round CD (no books) and a 2 round duration means he can cover your Scarab team on his own, but both buffs are strong in n ‘ any part of the game.

Passive can Dec Buff Duration but the percentages are too low.

40% Def Aura in Doom Tower isn’t that good that you want speed or precision auras there.

Consolation prizes (main?)

While Sigmund is pretty good for most players, this list contains some game-changing epics for many accounts. Most people will likely choose one epic over Sigmund or even all four epics.

Hungry Duhr – A1 is dizzy. A2 is Team Reflection Damage, Continuous Healing, and Instant Healing. A3 is Revive. Duhr is an S-class Carry Champ and will finish Demonspawn 21 for you. FUSE!

Thylessia – Thylessia is an AoE Dec Def Champ who can land 100% even with No Books. She also brings Debuff Spread / Manipulation and Hex. Excellent right now with upside potential when Hex becomes more accessible. FUSE!

Scarbe – Scarbius is a single target Nuker with Poisons and AoE Leech. Deals additional damage to targets with poison. You can probably skip this one if you already have Leech Champ or Frozen Banshee. TO JUMP!

Demyth – Demytha is the Chase Champ in this whole event. I can see people skip everything else and just go for it. Unfortunately, you’ll probably have to play all Summon Events to get it, as there are only 70 Shards available in other Events and you can only get 25 in Summon Rush or Champ Chase.

Demytha is an extremely valuable and rare champion who can increase the buff duration in a 3-turn CD and she heals with that same A2. This will allow him to be a shoe as a Buff Extender in my Brognimancer Clan Boss Comp.

She also has a 3-turn Team Block Damage CD so she can be your Unkillable Comp in Clan Boss once they determine the speeds with which to operate her.

Block damage could also mean she could be viable as a Bommal champion.
